Two great people

These people own the company I work for. While they didn't directly hire me (the office manager interviewed me to give me the ok for the next round), they did give me a chance. I had just been let go from what I thought was my "dream" job, for reasons I have no idea and never will I suppose. They gave me hope. they did me a favor! How cool is that? Almost 2 years later I am still thankful for this opportunity they gave me. I look forward to my job everyday, well almost, lol.

Tonight they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Got a sitter, got dressed up, went out. Don't they look amazing? They even went to a place I recommended! How thrilled was I when I got to take a few pics of them on this special evening. I have about 30 of them, I hope they like at least one.

Thank you max (my son) for going with me while I did this. Thank you Doc and Lisa. Thank you for the time you have invested in me.

Here's to many more happy years

WOW! So much to blog about

First, isn't this adorable?

Think of the possibilities of this! 3 inches tall. label comes totally off. How cute would this be to put on your hot dog? Just joking. Imagine filling one with red embellishments, one with pink, one with blue, get the idea? then taking them to the crop with you. They were only 50 cents at walmart. I just thought they were cute.

I don't particularly care for yard sales, garage sales, tag sales, whatever you call them. However, Friday there was one right behind the office, so Lisa and I ventured over there at lunch. I guess you shouldn't go without money. The ladies were nice enough to hold our items till went to the bank. I bought this nifty bar stool that one of them was sitting in (3 dollars), a couple of books and this

an ordinary picture frame with glass (no back, this is my table). 2 bucks. Then did this to it.

I love the rub ons on the glass. Fun. Happy I did it. I now have it hanging. I still need to rub on their name's, but it's done enough to hang. Wish it showed the detail, but oh well.

Whoda thunk it? I mean last weekend I gave scott the option of a stereo for his car or a new vaccum (which we desperately needed). He chose the stereo. Ok, he's a guy, I can see it. BUT, I bought a new sweeper today (cheap thing) and you would have thought I was wonderful (I am but don't tell him that, lol). He put it together and ran it. Not just in the middle of the room. But pulled things out, pulled the cushions off the couch and swept there. He swept the birdseed up from the baseboards from the birds, dumped the canister 2x and said how nice it was to have swept up the dirt. So, I have a sweeper up on freecycle. I am almost embarrased to give the old one away, but I think if someone will just clean it, it will be fine.

I have another layout planned in my head. Got the pic printed today. I hope to work on it tonight. I like this new barstool thingy I got. It's the right height, my other chair sat too low.

What else? hmmmmm

Please help me welcome Pete!

Here he is! After about 2 weeks of working with a guy on a local freecycle type site, he's here. His name is Pete. Joel told Scott he is about 25 years old. Rocky is trying to figure out what is going on. Pete is just wanting to be left alone. We had hay delivered and had to lead Pete to it. Scott put the rope around his neck and he led without a problem. I don't know too much more about him. I just know that Rocky had needed a friend for awhile, I hope this works out.

It's here! It's here!

So picture this. I'm sitting on the porch, just logged in to check the status of "it". Scott comes out to talk to me. I hear the UPS truck. I break down and told him I ordered "it". UPS truck pulls up in the driveway. I stand up, scott takes a step, we both take off running for the truck. Scott tells the guy to give it to him. Brown man asks how much money Scott has. I said I have dinner in the house, does he want money or dinner? Brown man gets package. Scott goes to other side of the truck, brown man ignores him and gives "it" to me. Hubby tries to see invoice. I won't let him. I don't plan on showing it to him at all. I just know I have used my brother's lens, loved it and wanted one of my own to be able to take action shots. With both kids being active, I really wanted one. I loved the photo's I got from winterguard this year, but sadly I had to give the loaner lens back. But now I have one of my own, my very own.

Ok, so enough of that. Here are 2 layouts that I have done for the scrap pink crop coming up. We are asked to do layouts that celebrate ladies in our lives. I am celebrating my friend Michelle Keeth and my daughter Kacey.

that's it for now
enjoy
More tomorrow

It's almost here!

it's out on the truck for delivery.
shhhhhh, don't tell Scott, lol!
I can't wait to post a picture of what I'm talking about...............

How I spent my day, lol

And I didn't even throw a fit about going.
We got to go to a pre-game party, go out on the field and then go to our seats. Way too hot, so we went in to the A-club. Scott said it helps to know people, lol.
I used the mock fish eye lens. I have a few more pics but for some reason they are taking way too long to load.
