Bringing it home baby! It's been 103 years. Fayetteville has NEVER won a state championship. Until now. It's been 25 years since Scott won his (different school). Now it was Max's turn. Amazing. I knew Scott has struggled all these years with the kids being "purple dogs" (he was a red dog,BIG rival schools), but his blood ran purple today. More on that later.

Here's the happy family after the game. Now remember, it was about 40 degrees. I have on a long sleeve t shirt, a short sleeve tshirt, a flannel zip up and then my bulldog sweatshirt. A pair of jeans and then a pair of wind pants that Scott found in the back of his car. The long johns he bought me didn't fit. Couldn't get them over my calves. No actuall, I couldn't even get my foot into the legs, lol! He did make the comment that I looked like a rabbit. Guess I need to work on my smile.

So now back to the father son championship. We went out to where the busses were and waited. Here comes Max. Scott hollered, Max ran, jumped up on his dad and started to tear up. He said there were 2 times today when he felt like that. That was one of them. The other one makes me want to cry. He said that after the game, Charlie, one of the senior boys took his gloves off and gave them to Max, told him to wear them next year and good luck. How cool is that?

Then there's Sadie. I know Max had been to lunch with her last week and texting her like crazy! She came to the game today! Sweet, sweet girl. I asked her if her family came, she said she told her mom that she could go shopping if she would just bring her to the game, and she did. Dropped her off so she could come and watch the game. I told her that I had heard alot about her, that Max had talked about her. She said she had been talking about Max at her house also. She is adorable. She went to play football last weekend, plays softball, etc. Time will tell huh?

Got to say, I love my cricut! But I love my camera more. We were asked to make signs for the bulldog field house. I made 3. Then we lined the road with people and posters when the boys left that morning. This is the one I made. One mom didn't look close enough to it and thought it said Behave. How funny is that? Scott took the poster into the stadium with us and would wave it. So when we left I had Max hold it one more time. I should have made a "d" to go on the end. Believed. They believed they could do it, and did it. What an amazing weekend.
