At work now, or I would show you my birthday meal that Max fixed me and the "cake" the kids got me. I would love to show you the cookie Scott got me or the cake we had here at work, but I am not thinking there is any cake left and I KNOW that there is not a crumb of cookie left.
Working out is going ok. I didn't lose any or gain any when we weighed in this week. I hope this week I will lose. Gas prices keep us grounded.
Back to work!

An amazing weekend
Wow, where to begin.
Friday night was Kacey's end of the year Sarajevo party. This is the second time I have been invited (usually a no no for parents) and the first time I went. It has always felt very akward (is that spelled right?) to be around, but this year, I went. Kacey has said she isn't going to do it next year, but I think she will. Still this is the last time to see a few of them. I had an amazing time. (pics are on another memory card, so I will upload a few when I can). House was beautiful. Food was fanatastic and the company was beyond belief.
Get home around 115, back up at 8. Take Kacey to her car (we left it at her work the night before). Go to Target to get a gift for a bridal shower and a few shower party gifts. Go to Sears to get a dryer (which is being returned today, there was birds nest in the vent, so we don't need a new one). Go to the high school.
The fb team had to do community work which they did yesterday. They had to volunteer at the special olympics. Max was assigned to the dead weight/bench press. I was so glad I went. The short time I was there on Saturday morning was very much needed. My family brings great joy to my life and I am very blessed. How blessed are these families? Smiles abounds. I was standing there and was greeted by a young man, who I was smiling bigger than him when he was talking to me! He introduced himself, told me he did good. I congratulated him, he was so darn cute! And then this lady. She came over and just talked to me, and made me smile, and made me forget about all the things I had to do. And smile some more. I really do need to smile more. How cute is she? I think her name is Linda. She did the dead weight (I think that is what it's called) first time 165, second lift 175 and I didn't stay for her 3rd lift. Had to run. Off to the next item.

I left there and went to drop off the shower gifts, etc, at Megan's house. Stayed there for a few minutes. Went to meet Max to pick up his tux. Stopped next store to the tux place to get a few last minute party items. I got to sit a few at the tux place waiting for him to get there. Made sure tux fit, went to pic up her corsage. Came home, put a few curls in my hair, then off to the shower. Isn't her cake cute? This is a shower for Amber. Kacey is going to be her maid of honor at her wedding in June. The cake says Mrs Hutson in the sand. Grayson proposed to her at the beach. Kacey and Megan got her a picture frame with some of the engagement photos I took of them. I had to go sign a release! How cool is that? Leave the shower around 415. Got home, took a 15 minute nap.

Max gets dressed, time to take photo's. I was NOT thrilled with the decision of him driving my father in laws cadillac. Now after this, I can say it all turned out well. He was thrilled with driving it. Her parents were thrilled with him picking her up in it. He was so excited! He loved the way it drives. My FIL bought it from an old lady in the nursing home he drives a bus for. Got it for a steal.

He leaves, I get my menu/grocery list together. Pick up a few things around here. Lay on the bed with Kacey talk to her. Now time to leave. Go to the funeral home to take pics. There were 6 couples in this group going to prom. One of the families own the funeral home so we used it for photos. How nice is that? Shelby looked beautiful. She is such a delightful young lady. I asked to see her shoes, she said she had heels picked out, but decided she would be too tall and went for flats. She's 5 10, Max is just at 6 foot MAYBE 6 1. How happy do they look? They all piled into the bus (I think it might belong to the funeral home) and went to dinner. Max called me about 1230 and told me they were getting ready to go to Bentley's house, where all the boys spent the night. Max said dinner was wonderful and he didn't finish all his, unusual for a growing boy. He spent the night at Bentley's (we met his parents before they left the funeral home, made me feel better). The girls spent the night and Johnna's, then the boys went to her house this morning for breakfeast. And he was home before noon (which was his curfew time). I love this photo, except for the handicap sign in the background. When I have time later I will post more. Right now I need to get a few things done.

Happier post
I did this layout for a contest at the lss. Just got it out of my car this week. Thought I would share. I had the layout done, but no pic. This is the first pic that I found that I thought would fit. It's Max making a face at me. I wonder how long it will take him to find it.
Scott and I started a class at the hospital this evening. It's a lighten up class. Seems like fun. I am going for my personal training session on Wednesday. The gym looks nice. It's only been open 2 weeks now.
Glad to be home. Glad to be back at work. The next several weekends are crammed full.
Life is good!

thought this year would be different
don't know why. Guess it started out different. But let's see in the last 18 hours, I wasn't informed about the team watching of the dvd, I wasn't told about the time change to leave this evening, I wasn't told that there was a meeting right now. And you REALLY want me to come on Friday to the party, yeah right. I suggested when we got there to take the photo while it was still daylight and we weren't tired and ready to go home. As I was running across the parking lot barefooted we were called back for a photo. not a chance.
And then there is that black cloud again................................
Hopefully a more positive upbeat note later. I have enjoyed getting to spend some time with my daughter.

If you give a scrapbooker a yard of ribbon
first she will have to "hide" it somewhere so dh doesn't see that she has made another purchase
when she goes to hide it she finds one of her other "hidden" objects (some brown buttons)and realizes she has to put that away in the brown embellishment spot
when she opens up the drawer with embellishments to put away the brown button, she finds that brown flower that will match perfectly with the paper she bought last week. When she goes to get the paper in her hidden spot, she finds that it's the wrong color brown and has to go back to the brown embellishment drawer, only to look through and get the right color to match the paper. On the way to the drawer she realizes she needs a diet coke, but there are none in the machine, so she must walk to the car to get a can. In the car she finds a scrapbook magazine that has the most adorable cover and thinks, I have the perfect picture for this layout. And heads back into the house (without the diet coke mind you). She goes to find the picture that will be perfect for the layout, but can't remember if she printed it or not. While looking for it on the computer, she comes across an email that she needs to read and respond to, but she can't remember why she needs to respond to it. So she continues to search for the picture. It's not on the computer so she gets up and looks in the printed pictures, to find it there. Takes the picture to the paper stash and picks out paper to match the layout/photo, then takes the paper and photo to look for the absolute perfect ribbon that will match the layout. Where is that ribbon? Is it in the stash? Why yes it is!
Ever come full circle like this?

2 posts tonight
I hope. First one. Over there, on the right. See my blog friends? Or maybe the blogs I like to visit. well I have the honor of saying Janna Wilson is one of my friends IRL. Check out her blog. She is so talented. You have to see her stuff. She is teaching a class online. How cool is that. You can get there through her blog. It's 15.00! I signed up today (and get no kickbacks for anyone signing up because of me), and got my password to start. I LOVE the first project she has posted. Even if you don't sign up, check out her blog, her kids are worth the look.
