Hi there, I added a playlist to my blog. Each one of these songs has a meaning to me, so let me go through them, lol
1)Everything- Michael Buble, what can I say? His voice is phenomonal! That's why he's on here. I love this song. It's a happy song, makes you want to be his everything.
2)Phil Collins- You'll be in my heart. Ok, so this may sound morbid, but I want this song played for my kids at my funeral/party/celebration of life (a whole 'nother blog post).
3) Michael Buble- Home-makes me think of coming home. Since my kids are starting to be gone more, I want them to have this sense, to come home.
4) Mike and the mechanics- the living years- once again, another one I want played at my funeral/etc
5) Gravity-Sarah Bareillis, this is the song that Kacey performed to this year. What a great opportunity I had to be a part of this journey with her. (this one didn't load, but I decided to leave it anyway, maybe you can check out this song)
6)Johnny Mathis-chances are- this one is for my parents. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. What a great accomplishment. So this isn't really their song, Misty by Johnny Mathis is, but I couldn't find it. I remember growing up and going to dances/weddings/etc and watching my parents dance to that song, and now as an adult, I still dream of the day that someone will hold me and dance with me the way that I have the memory of my mom and dad dancing etched in my mind/heart. (I know that was a run on sentence, sorry, not sure how I should have broke it up). Love ya dad! I know you are reading.
7) Sunrise, sunset-fiddler on the roof soundtrack- what can I say? this is my favorite movie-EVER~. This song has so much to think about. It's a classic. Get lost in the music, think about your kids growing up, where has the time went?
8)Michael Buble-feeling good-another feel good song, from a man with a voice, and kinda cute too!
9) American soldier-Toby Keith. I have to say, I cry every time I hear this (on my i-pod). Makes me stop and think about what are service people are doing for US! Not just me, but you and yours! My nephew is in the service, and has been "over there" for a tour. He left a young man without a direction. He came back a man. I am so incredibly proud of him and what he has accomplished.
10) Jim Brickman-from the visions of love. Sometimes you need a song without words. He is an amazing pianist. I am so glad we just got the zune pass. I have all of his music in my library now. You can just listen to his music and make up your own words for it, make them fit your mood. He has some singers with him. I love the song he has with Donny Osmond, he has one with Olivia Newton John also that is great.
11)Trace Adkins-you're gonna miss this. What a thought provoking song. I hadn't heard it till he was on celebrity apprentice and he sang it. You're gonna miss this. You're gonna want this back. It's true, I miss "this".
12)Brad Paisley-letter to me. This really hits home. I have a 17 year old son. So much of this is true. He's such a fun kid. I guess he's a young man now. He's got a nice young lady in his life right now. He does, have so much going for him, going right.......................
13)Rascal Flatts-My wish. A great song for family, friends, loved ones. This is my wish for all in my life. Show the world the warmth of your smile! If you are reading this, you have a vital link to my life, consider this "my wish" for you.
14)you sexy thing-hot chocolate. Now how can you not love this song? I know you want to get up and dance! Now it will be stuck in your head for EVER! LOL!
15) The star spangled banner. Ok, it doesn't matter who performs it (well except for Roseanne Barr), I get goosebumps. Don't know why, but I do. I think it's because we went to where it was wrote. Where Francis Scott Key wrote this song. How powerful is that? I have to include this in my playlist (although it didn't load, sorry)
16) Goo goo dolls- Iris. From City of angels. What a great movie. There is a line in it that is fitting to my life right now. "and you bleed just to know you're alive". I don't care to elaborate.
"and you can't fight the tears that ain't coming"
So, there you go! My playlist as it stands on May 29th, 2008. This is subject to change, you know, just like my underwear!
Thanks for taking time to read this list, my post, my sappiness

2 to share
wheew, been a while huh?
First off, thanks Kristen for the shout out! Those that haven't visited HER blog (link the the right)need to. She has an amazing energy about her. And she's pretty darned talented too!
I haven't scrapbooked in quite some time, so this is a treat. Sorry you can't see them really close. They are both of Kacey. She left on Saturday morning, and will be back in 2 weeks for about 4 days (Amber's wedding).
(watching AI right now, I think Seal is a beautiful individual).
Ok, I have a few more pics that I want to scrap, so off to do that
One more quick shout out. Check out Janna's blog. She and Valerie are doing an online sketch class. I can't wait to see what these amazing ladies come up with. I signed up for it. Think about it, you can take a class, at your convenience, you can scrap naked if you want, at 2 in the morning and use supplies you already have. Well worth the 21 bucks (if it gets you to scrap and use your stash, huh?)
Ok, really, I am out of here!
