Sad post

Sorry guys. I have said when I die, I want to have a celebration. I want to read the book the last lecture, but haven't yet. I spent 1 hour and 20 minutes last week watching it online. How cool is it? Now I am watching the Primetime special on him and I am sad. I mean really sad. Not my usual happy sad. But sad. I'm sad for those around me that have lost loved ones. Jen, I hope you are ok. I can't imagine losing my mom (cause she is amazing). I wonder if you watched this and how you felt. Now back to the happy/sad me.
Well better run. Promise more soon. Trying to meet this deadline to enter my first contest. HAHAHA! What AM I thinking?

ok, I'll play along ONE THING

One thing I won’t let my husband buy me : is he supposed to buy me things?

One thing I would love to have, but I probably won’t : a motorcycle

One thing you will never find in my closet : clothes that fit

One thing I would choose if I were having elective surgery : blepharoplasty and forehead lift

One thing I love about my face : nothing

One thing that I love to do : surf the net, take pics

One thing I would like to change if I could : I think I will keep this one to myself

One thing I would change as a mom : be someone my kids like

One thing I would do if I had unlimited money : travel

One thing I that I will not do again : hmmmmm

One thing I could do without : ants/flies

One thing I love to smell : fresh baked cookies

One thing I would do if I won the lottery : build a house/college money for the kids/scott a truck/families set up/anything left? humane society
One thing that infuriates me : people who wait until 5 minutes before we leave from work to say they have a problem, lol! stupid drivers

One thing that I love about winter : Christmas

One thing I am addicted to : the internet, diet coke and bitching

One thing I pray for : that my kids will look back on their childhoods and be happy about them. (I pray for other things, but this is one thing)

One thing I wish I had : abundant energy

One thing I would do again, regardless of the pain : kids are good

One thing that I absolutely hate to do : clean

One thing that I need help on : exercise

One thing I find most relaxing :a nap

One thing that could get me in trouble : trips to ssd

One thing that annoys me : people walking 2 wide at the grocery store, lol
One thing I dread; therefore, don’t do very often : clean

random stupid thoughts

OK,so here are a few stupid thoughts I have had lately

if you read in the bathroom, is it ok to take your laptop in there? I see no problem with it. I am guilty of it. I need to practice on my word games or catch up on blogs

I have ordered my daughter a case of fortune cookies. How silly is that? did you know that you can get them on ebay? A case of fortune cookies! (dad don't tell her, ok?). 350 cookies. Just for the fortunes. I don't know if she will eat them or not. Gonna take them to her when I see her next week when she is close enough to see her perform

quiet around here. Max is at church camp this week.

Is there anything in the wedding vows that says, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to look at your spouses hemorrhoids when they are thrombosed or having a flare up. I didn't think so

when you go to the movies, do you sit every other row till filled up? That's what I was taught growing up. Is that another "don't go into the water right after you eat you will get a stomachache" momism?

So do you put on sock sock shoe shoe? Or sock shoe, sock shoe? I don't think I know of anyone who does sock shoe sock shoe. Do you?

Over the top or under the bottom? Over the top for me

make the bed everday or leave it as you got out of it? leave it for me. But then I sleep on top of the covers too

buy these cars or not?

ok, there's an update. pretty boring around here. tomorrow is Scott's birthday. Kids aren't here. I'm not cooking. He doesn't feel well enough to go care where we go eat. I bought him a box of ding dongs and some butter pecan icecream for his treat. If I go get him a cake, I will just end up eating it all.

Till I get nudged again, lol

A small tribute

Tomorrow/today (depends on where you are right now as I type this/what time it is when I finish it/depends on when you read this) is Kacey's 21st birthday. 21! Anyone remember 21? I dug up a few photos of her life thus far. Didn't get many since I didn't dig too deep. Of course I had to get them out of boxes, not like I can search for them digitally.
What a fun baby/toddler/youth/teen/now adult you have been/are. Someone commented if you were here we could take you down on Dickson for drinks. I don't think that's something you would find fun. This is the third year in a row for us to celebrate it without you. Would I change that? Am I sad about that? NOPE! Why deny you the fun you are having right now, last summer or the summer before for my selfish reasons. It really means more cake for me. So will we celebrate your birthday in absentee again? Probably.

So I raise a glass, well not really, how about my eyebrow, for you Kacey on the eve of your birth. Thank you for making these 21 years wonderful. You (and Max also) have been a delight. Enjoy life. It's not really all downhill from here. It really just gets better, although it never gets easy. I love ya bunches! (sorry the pics are sideways, they aren't like that on the computer, so I don't know whats wrong, lol!)

Someone,notgonnasaywho,mamichelle, needs an update!

haha!

Let's see. The lss garage sale is over. My den is cleaned out, my car isn't. Great success. Now to ebay/sell/divide/etc the leftovers. I need to get the middle seat back in my car (as opposed to the living room).

This weekend was St Louis. GREAT time I think was had by all.

Cameron had a game on Saturday morning. Then we celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary. 50 years! Can you imagine? I sometimes don't like to spend 50 minutes with mine. Not sure about the whole 50 years thing. Just kidding! What great examples they are. I know it wasn't easy. But I thank you for putting up with each other for 50 years. Makes me want to do it too. Well, kinda, just for the party. What can I say, I am a sucker for cake! Congratulations mom and dad of 50 years.
Hey and the food was PHENOMENAL! Made myself sick eating so much. The scale said the "one at a time" saying when I got on it Monday morning. Can you say 5 pounds? I am down 3 of it though. Great company. Met another scrapbooker and new dear friend! Bobbi Jo! Hope I spelled it right, hope you are reading and can correct me if I spelled it wrong.
Ok, then Sunday for brunch, we celebrated my grandma's 90th birthday! 90 years! Still getting around wonderfully, sharp wits, good health. Hope I inheret those genes.
Above pics are my mom and dad at their party (love the top mom, where did you get it?)
The family before we left. Scott, me, max, cameron, jeannie, bart
Back row grandpa pat, grandma pat, dad and mom
Bottom picture the extended family and friends at brunch
Hope it's enough of an update.
I hope to do more than 2 posts this month, so stay on me mamichelle and quit kicking my butt in the word games will ya!
